Paolo joined Asymmetry Group after running an independent consulting practice. He has over 20 years of experience in life sciences commercial strategy and operations, including leadership roles at Sanofi/Bioverativ and Biogen, and strategic management consulting at Monitor Group (now Deloitte Consulting) and Simon-Kucher & Partners.
At Sanofi/Bioverativ, Paolo led the unbranded franchise marketing strategy for rare blood disorders and ran sales and marketing operations, including PRC, field operations, incentive and compensation, speaker and congress operations, and commercial data management. At Biogen, he built the US Competitive Intelligence function and served in the Global Commercial Strategy team. His consulting work has covered commercial strategy, pricing and market access, customer model design, franchise strategy, and launch planning and operations, serving large and mid-cap pharmaceutical companies and leading international teams across the US, Europe, and MENA.
Paolo also co-founded SponsorMotion, a start-up in the event and sponsorship discovery space, where he pioneered the use of generative AI to build a fully automated data infrastructure.
Paolo holds a five-year Laurea (equivalent to an M.S.) in Chemical Engineering cum laude from Federico II University in Naples, Italy, and is a named inventor on a US patent. He is fluent in English and Italian with proficiency in German.
