Case Study

Asset Commercialization Strategy Development

The Challenge

Our Client had an early-stage central nervous system asset and several open questions on prioritization of market opportunities, development program, and path to growth. The Client asked Asymmetry to assess the market opportunity across potential indications and develop an early commercial strategy to inform design of phase 2 and 3 clinical trials, as well as develop the narrative to support investor discussions / fundraising.

Asymmetry's Approach

  1. Conduct rapid-cycle market opportunity assessments across the potential indications to conduct a first-pass prioritization
  2. Perform in-depth market assessments to develop first-pass commercial strategies for two lead indications
  3. Develop financial models for both indications and assess cross-indication considerations to inform the optimal path forward – including pricing and funding requirements
  4. Map out a joint roadmap for clinical development and funding requirements

Our Impact

  • Market and clinical insights highlighted an opportunity to position the product for a broader population than competitive products, and highlighted the importance of pursing an alternate indication to accelerate market entry

  • Based on the insights, the client redesigned their clinical development program, developed a powerful investor narrative, and completed a successful capital raise to fund their next milestone
