Nina Ballou

Nina is deeply committed to the Life Science space, combining her bench-level insight and investment acumen to bridge discovery with strategy. With a degree in Microbiology, she brings both scientific depth and broad analytical perspective to her work.

Prior to joining Asymmetry Group, Nina worked as a Research Associate at Cedars-Sinai, where she conducted preclinical cancer research that strengthened her understanding of disease mechanisms, experimental design, and the translational challenges of developing new therapies. She also served as an Investment Analyst at a boutique bio-fund, where she developed a disciplined, data-driven approach to evaluating therapeutic potential and translating scientific rigor into meaningful value for clients.

Nina holds a B.S. in Microbial Biology with a minor in History from the University of California, Berkeley.
